It was a Met Gala no-show.
Brooklyn Beckham and his wife, Nicola Peltz, allegedly pulled out of the 2025 Met Gala following family drama at David Beckham’s 50th birthday party on Saturday night.
According to an insider close to Brooklyn and Peltz, the couple decided to cancel their Met Gala plans on Monday so they could stay in London to celebrate the soccer legend’s big day over the weekend.
Instead, they didn’t attend either event.
“They canceled plans to attend the Met because they really intended to be at David’s party on Saturday,” a source alleged to the US Sun. “But Brooklyn is really upset that blame for the rift has been leveled at Nicola.”
“She has never told him what to do and has been nothing but supportive,” the insider added. “She’s a loyal wife.”
The Beckham family feud first started after Brooklyn allegedly told his dad that he would not participate in any birthday celebrations if Romeo Beckham’s girlfriend, Kim Turnbull, was also there, according to TMZ.
David and Victoria Beckham reportedly refused.
Although Brooklyn, 26, and Peltz, 30, still flew from Los Angeles to London to try to see the former soccer star privately for his birthday, David apparently insisted that they attend his star-studded bash at the Core restaurant in Notting Hill on Saturday night.
“Brooklyn flew to London with the sole intention of seeing his family and celebrating his dad’s birthday,” a source close to Brooklyn claimed. “He suggested going for breakfast or a coffee, but was told the only chance to see the family would be at one of their lavish parties, which Kim would be at – so he refused.”
“As far as he sees it,” the source added, “his parents have chosen Romeo and his new girlfriend over him.”
However, an insider close to the Beckham family claimed that the drama had “nothing to do” with Romeo and Turnbull, 24.
“This feels very performative,” the insider insisted. “Brooklyn sent a text message, but it felt like box-ticking, knowing they would be asked about it.”
The Post has reached out to Brooklyn and Peltz’s reps for comment.
Romeo, 22, started seeing Turnbull in 2024, and the couple confirmed their relationship in November.
Brooklyn and Peltz, meanwhile, married in April 2022.
Brooklyn and Nicola “never go to [Beckham] family events anymore,” a source told Page Six.
“In some ways, this is no surprise, but I guess no one could believe they would actually snub David’s 50th when there were so many events they could have gone to, or ways to spend time with the family,” the insider told the outlet.
“Their behavior has been appalling,” they added.
However, “Brooklyn’s family adores him and will always be there for him. They just can’t deal with this nonsense anymore,” the source insisted. “David and Victoria just want Brooklyn to remember who he is because this behavior isn’t him and isn’t how he was raised.”
The young couple haven’t been pictured with his famous Beckham family since Christmas.
