WWE Superstar Roman Reigns hasn’t been seen on television since his team’s loss at the 2025 Survivor Series: WarGames. Interestingly, a new update from the Original Tribal Chief saw him mingling with some of his fans in a non-WWE location.

The official Instagram page of Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital uploaded a post featuring the Head of the Table, showcasing him on the hospital’s premises. The former Bloodline leader had paid a visit to the facility on the occasion of its Butterfly Blessings Fund 6th Annual Holiday Gathering.

The post said that Roman Reigns brightened everyone's Christmas at the hospital, including the patients and the caregivers alike. The post thanked Reigns for attending the event and for spending time with the people there and their families.

"Holiday magic filled the halls at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital during the Butterfly Blessings Fund 6th Annual Holiday Gathering! This special annual tradition brings joy to our patients and families by gifting mini-Christmas trees and menorahs to brighten their hospital rooms and help make the season feel a little more like home. 🏥❤️ Adding to the excitement, WWE Superstar Roman Reigns made a special appearance, his visit brought big smiles, laughter, and unforgettable moments to our patients and caregivers alike. Thank you to everyone who helped make this meaningful day possible. Your support continues to bring comfort, hope, and holiday cheer to the children and families we serve. ✨ #JDBBFund #JDCHFoundation."

Roman Reigns did a meet and greet with the people at the hospital and also signed autographs. The OTC is a cancer survivor himself and has been fighting leukemia for almost two decades now. He had to drop his NFL career because of it, and also had to take a hiatus from WWE in 2018 owing to his condition.

Roman Reigns’ arrival killed Sami Zayn’s world title push

Roman Reigns has a part-time contract with WWE and is mostly busy with his family and Hollywood projects. However, according to a report by Ibou of Self Made Pro during a livestream, the OTC wanted to dedicate more time to WWE. Moreover, he was also eyeing to become a world champion in the company once again.

Owing to this, Ibou mentioned that the Stamford-based promotion got rid of its plans to give Sami Zayn his first world title run. He noted that the Canadian was going to win the 2026 Royal Rumble and dethrone Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 42.

“At some point in this year, he (Roman Reigns) decided, I’m actually not all in on the Hollywood thing, and I’m coming back to WWE, and I want a championship. I want to win the belt. Basically, I want Cody’s (Rhodes) seat; that’s basically what it was. The second he pretty much made that clear to the promotion, they scrapped that whole Sami Zayn sh** because Sami Zayn was going to be the guy to win the Royal Rumble in Saudi and face Seth Rollins for the championship. That was the long-term plan for that whole thing, that whole saga with The Vision.” [21:41 - 22:14]

However, despite being knee-deep in a feud with The Vision, he was moved to SmackDown all of a sudden and became the United States Champion for some time, which was a way to compensate for scrapping his world title run.

Zayn also led the MCMG, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Rey Fenix in a classic Survivor Series match, only to act as a stepping stone for Solo Sikoa’s crew. It would be interesting to see when Roman Reigns starts another world title run and what lies ahead for Sami Zayn.
