"Ty Simpson's been heating up": CFB fans debate over updated Heisman odds for 2025 heading into Week 11

Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson has enjoyed a strong season so far. The QB has recorded 2,184 passing yards, 20 touchdowns, one interception and two rushing TDs, leading the No. 4 Tide to a 7-1 record.

When BetGM released its latest odds for the Heisman Trophy, Simpson was the third favorite, behind Ohio State QB Julian Sayin and Indiana QB Fernando Mendoza. Fans offered their reactions to the latest list of Heisman odds.

"Ty Simpson’s been heating up, if Bama keeps winning, he’s got a real shot," one tweeted. "Sayin with the best odds is hilarious, especially after beating Penn State. Mendoza and Simpson are playing at a higher level than Sayin and I wouldn’t be surprised if heisman voters watched that game and were somehow impressed," another added. "Julian Sayin beats a team under .500 and gets rocketed to the top of the projections lol," a third commented.

"So Ty gonna get ripped off like Manning because of Big 10 bias," one wrote. "Simpson has been performing so much better than the others against harder comp. Yet he drops," another added. "I think it'll come down to Sayin and Simpson if both go off in their conference title games. Mendoza could take it if the others in the top 4 are eh," a user tweeted.

As things stand, there are eight quarterbacks on the top 10 list of odds for the Heisman favorites. Ohio State wideout Jeremiah Smith is eighth, while Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love is 10th.

Ty Simpson and Alabama will face the LSU Tigers in Week 11 on Saturday. The game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET from Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

The Tigers will be playing their first game since firing Brian Kelly from his coaching role on Sunday. LSU QB Garrett Nussmeier is expected to lead the offense for the visitors.

Given its No. 4 rank, Alabama is the favorite to win the contest.
