Travis Kelce’s fiancée, Taylor Swift, is featured in a big moment in the thriller The Housemaid, which stars Hollywood actress Sydney Sweeney.
Swift’s 2017 song “I Did Something Bad” from "Reputation" plays during the film’s shocking final scene and continues through the end credits. As the story reaches its darkest point, Swift’s voice takes over and makes the twist even more powerful.
Sweeney talked about the scene in a Dec. 19 interview with People Magazine alongside co-star Amanda Seyfried, and she could not stop praising it. She called the song choice “So perfect."

She said they saw an early version of the movie before the music was locked in and immediately fought to keep the song.

"We were like, 'We can't lose this!'" Sweeney said. "We were like, 'You have to keep this!'"Sweeney, who is worth $40 million per Celebrity Net Worth, also said Swift’s music works so well because everyone loves it.
"It brings every generation together," she said, "which is so fun."Golden Globe Award winner Amanda Seyfried said she felt the same excitement when the song started playing in the movie. In fact, it made her feel as young as her two daughters.
"I'm so grateful" for that connection," she said. "When it came on, we were like 'Ahhhh!' We screamed like little girls," Seyfried said. "That's the excitement that Taylor Swift songs can bring."Sydney Sweeney stars in The Housemaid (2025) as Millie, a young maid who takes a job in the rich Winchester family’s home.
Her arrival starts a chain of disturbing events that drive the movie’s psychological thriller story. She appears alongside Amanda Seyfried in the film.
Director Paul Feig said he was not sure they would get permission to use the track, since Swift does not often approve her songs for films.
"We wanted to put it in, but I just kept going like, 'I don't think we'll be able to clear this,' because Taylor doesn't really clear many of her songs," Feig said. "When it got approved we were just like, 'Oh my God.’"Feig called “I Did Something Bad” “the ultimate kind of empowerment song” and said it made the movie’s ending even more memorable as the credits rolled.
The Housemaid released in the U.S. on December 19.
Sydney Sweeney's BF Scooter Braun's controversial ties to Travis Kelce’s fiancée Taylor Swift’s masters
Scooter Braun, who is dating actor Sydney Sweeney, is tied to one of the biggest fights over music ownership involving Taylor Swift.
Years ago, Braun’s business deal put him in control of Swift’s early music.
The issue started on June 30, 2019, when Braun’s company, Ithaca Holdings, bought Big Machine Label Group for about $300 million.
That deal included the master recordings of Swift’s first six albums from her 2006 debut album through Reputation in 2017.
By then, Swift had already left the label and signed with Universal Music Group.
After the sale, Swift decided to take back control by re-recording her old songs. From 2020 to 2023, she released Fearless (Taylor’s Version), Red (Taylor’s Version), Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) and 1989 (Taylor’s Version).
Braun later sold the masters to Shamrock Capital in November 2020.
But Travis Kelce's fiancée refused to work with them, saying Braun would still make money from the deal.
Swift first joined Big Machine as a teenager. She signed with label founder Scott Borchetta when she was just 15 and went on to become the company’s biggest star before leaving in 2018.
In May 2025, Travis Kelce’s fiancée Taylor Swift announced that she had finally regained ownership of her master recordings.
