Travis Kelce's cryptic response on Taylor Swift name change after wedding

1 hour ago 3

Travis Kelce is giving a clue to what could be a name change for himself and Taylor Swift, as their wedding is underway.

Earlier this week, Kelce liked an Instagram post from the podcast Bussin’ With the Boys where the hosts Will Compton and Taylor Lewan discussed what would be a good fit for the Kansas City Chiefs star and pop star if they change their names following their upcoming wedding. While it's common in the U.S. for women to change their names to their husband's last name legally, Compton and Lewan argued since Swift is “way more globally famous,” Kelce has to change his.

They then went back-and-forth with the option of “Travis Swift” or "Taylor Kelce," which they found to be noteworthy names.  The hosts then decided on the alternate of hyphenating both names to "Kelce-Swift."

“No, you gotta go Swift-Kelce — Travis Swift-Kelce,” they suggested at the end.

While there's no indication on what will happen regarding the name change. Kelce did drop a "like" on the video.

"Travis liking this is hilarious that’s why he’s perfect for her," one fan wrote in the comment section.

One fan suggested what Swift might decide to do,"She'll keep the name Swift professionally but maybe otherwise it will be Kelce."

Swift has not shared her plans on what she will do with her last name, but since she has built a career as "Taylor Swift," she most likely will keep her name, as a lot of entertainers do, and possibly choose a hyphenated name or change to Kelce legally.

Kelce proposed to Swift back in August 2025 after two years of dating. Last month, a source told Page Six that the couple will get married on July 3 in New York City.

The couple has been enjoying their time together as they have had several date nights in the Big Apple recently. They took time to dine at Sartiano, an Italian restaurant in the Mercer Hotel in Manhattan's SoHo neighborhood.  They also went viral for their courtside date night when the New York Knicks hit the road for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals to take on the Cleveland Cavaliers.
