NBA fans did not waste any time. Within minutes of the UEFA Champions League Final between Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal on Saturday, a clip surfaced showing Giannis Antetokounmpo being interviewed at the venue on what appeared to be CBS Sports' broadcast. The lower-third chyron beneath him read: "GIANNIS ANTETOKOUNMPO BOSTON CELTICS."

His current team is the Milwaukee Bucks.

The image, which appeared to be fan-edited, spread so fast, and the fact that so many people had to look twice before questioning it says everything about where the Giannis trade conversation currently stands.

Why a fake chyron fooled so many people so quickly

NBA insider Gery Woelfel reported Friday that there is "virtually zero chance" Antetokounmpo returns to the Bucks next season and that a multi-team trade is expected in the days leading up to the June 23 draft

Boston and Miami are the two destinations that currently intrigue Antetokounmpo the most, with the Celtics emerging as a surprise frontrunner given Boston's willingness to include Jaylen Brown in a deal.

Antetokounmpo also added fuel to the fire himself on a recent livestream with Marlon, praising TD Garden and the Celtics fanbase as among the best atmospheres he has played in, according to NESN.

His public comments about preferring to stay in the Eastern Conference have pointed toward Boston or Miami throughout the spring.

Antetokounmpo is under contract through 2026-27 and holds a player option worth over $62 million for the year after.  Reports have it that he will decline the Bucks' extension offer this summer, effectively forcing Milwaukee to trade him before free agency.
