Travis Hunter injury update: Jaguars rookie added to injury report on Thursday with knee issue

5 hours ago 2

The Jacksonville Jaguars return from their bye this week against the Las Vegas Raiders, looking to jumpstart a potential playoff push.

Travis Hunter is expected to play a key role for the Jaguars down the stretch, as the rookie has yet to really find his groove in the NFL. Part of that could be Jacksonville using him more on offense to try and add more explosiveness to the unit.

However, Hunter now faces an unexpected hurdle to playing in this week's game. The two-way player was a surprise addition to the injury report on Thursday after he got through the bye week fully healthy.

Here's the latest on Hunter's status this week.

Travis Hunter injury update

After Thursday's practice, the Jaguars added Hunter to the injury report with a knee injury, indicating that he was a limited participant. Hunter was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, so the injury occurred sometime between the two sessions.

It's unclear exactly how serious Hunter is injured, but the fact that he was still able to practice on Thursday should be a sign that it's not too bad.

So far this year, Hunter has played in every game during his rookie season and hasn't spent much time on the injury report.
