A shoplifter at a Trader Joe’s in San Francisco led police on wild foot chase before being fatally struck by a passing car that pinned one of the cops beneath the vehicle.

The incident began shortly after 7:30 a.m. Friday, when officers responded to a report of a theft at the grocery chain at California and Hyde Streets, according to the San Francisco Police Department.

Cops attempted to detain the suspect, who resisted and led two officers on a foot chase into the street, where all three were struck by a car.

Video of the incident showed the chaotic aftermath, with the suspect and officers scattered along the street.

They were taken to the hospital, where the suspect died from his injuries and the officers were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
