New York high school baseball season ended with a bang over the weekend as all seven divisions wrapped up with semifinals and finals. Here a quick look at the top individual performances from the weekend in the NYSPHSAA state championships.

Top performances from 2025 NYSPHSAA baseball state semifinals and finals

Cam Barbulean, Mendon: Got it done via both arm and bat for a Class A title. Barbulean got the win on the mound in the semifinals to beat Rye with two runs allowed in 5.2 innings, and hit 3-5 for the weekend with a triple, a walk, and two runs scored.

Pierce Byrne, Saratoga Central Catholic: Pitched a one-hit shutout in the Class C championship to beat Deposit-Hancock 4-0.

Charlie Greiner, Saratoga Springs: Threw four scoreless, hitless innings with six strikeouts in the Class AAA semifinals to help beat Niagara Falls 2-1 in 10 innings. Thomas McNamara was also outstanding for Saratoga Springs' other six innings, allowing three hits and one run against seven K's.

Micah Hays, Horseheads: Hit a double to start the game-winning eighth inning rally in a 6-5 championship win over Fox Lane, and threw 2.2 scoreless innings as well for his only pitching appearance of the year after returning from elbow injury.

Mason Holloway, Horseheads: Tossed a complete game shutout to beat Webster-Thomas 2-0 in the Class AA semifinals.

Owen Killeen, Babylon: Went the distance to shut out Putnam Valley 2-0 in the Class B title game.

Chase Koenig, Oriskany: Was the top star of Oriskany's 9-2 Class D championship win over North Warren. Koenig threw five innings with no earned runs allowed and 13 strikeouts, and had two RBI with a walk and a single.

Aidan Lerner-Morelle, Mendon: Helped lead the way at the plate for the Class A champions, going 2-3 in both the semifinals and finals with a total of two RBI and one run scored.

Trevor Meidenbauer, Niagara: Dazzled in the Class AAA semifinals despite losing in 10 innings to Saratoga Springs. Meidenbauer pitched eight innings and allowed just four hits, one run, and zero earned runs.

Ethan Postle, Mendon: Was a man possessed on the mound with scoreless outings in both games. He got a save in the semifinals against Rye with 1.1 scoreless, hitless innings, and tossed 6.1 scoreless innings in a Class A championship shutout against Maine-Endwell with 12 strikeouts.

Jack Rigabar, Saratoga Springs: Was the top hitter for the Class AAA winner, and helped on the mound in the finals too with 3.2 innings of one-run ball. Across both wins, he hit 5-10 with two doubles, a triple, a run batted in, and two runs scored.

Eddie Wright, Oriskany: Dominated on the mound in the Class D semifinals, allowing three hits and one earned run in seven innings to beat Fillmore 5-2. Wright also went 1-4 with an RBI and a run scored in that game, and scored two runs in the title game against North Warren.
