Team India's international assignments in 2025 concluded following the fifth T20I against South Africa at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on December 19. The hosts got the better of the Proteas by 30 runs to clinch the five-match series 3-1. India played 21 T20Is in 2025, winning 15 of them and losing three. One game ended in a tie, while two produced no result.
Shifting focus to India's Test numbers in 2025, they played 10 matches, but won only four and lost five, while one Test match ended in a draw. In the one-day format, the Men in Blue played 14 games, winning 11 and losing three. Team India thus had an impressive win percentage of 78.57 in ODIs.

#5 Ravindra Jadeja (37 wickets)
Seasoned all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is fifth on the list of Indian bowlers with most wickets in international cricket in 2025. In 20 matches, he picked up 37 wickets at an average of 36.64.
Jadeja played 10 Tests in 2025 and claimed 25 wickets at an average of 38.2. The left-arm spinner failed to pick up a five-fer in Tests in 2025. His best innings figures of 4-50 came against South Africa in Kolkata. Jadeja also registered figures of 4-62 against the Proteas in Guwahati and 4-53 against West Indies in Ahmedabad.
In ODIs, the veteran cricketer played 10 matches and claimed 12 wickets at an average of 33.41. His best of 3-26 against England in Nagpur. Jadeja also claimed 3-35 against England in Cuttack and 2-40 against Australia in Dubai in the first semifinal of the Champions Trophy.
#4 Mohammed Siraj (45 wickets)
Team India pacer Mohammed Siraj made a big impression with the ball in 2025. In 13 matches, he claimed 45 wickets at an average of 28.08. His numbers included two five-wicket hauls.
Siraj played 10 Tests in 2025, claiming 43 wickets at an average of 27.2. The right-arm pacer starred with 6-70 against England in Birmingham and claimed nine wickets in India's famous win at The Oval (4-86 & 5-104). Siraj also starred with seven wickets against West Indies in Ahmedabad. In ODIs, he played three matches and picked up two wickets at an average of 47.
#3 Jasprit Bumrah (45 wickets)
Team India's pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah continued to make a mark in international cricket in 2025. In 21 matches, the right-arm fast bowler claimed 45 wickets at an average of 21.77, with three five-wicket hauls.
Bumrah played eight Tests in 2025, claiming 31 wickets at an average of 22.16. He registered figures of 5-83 against England in Leeds and 5-74 at Lord's. Bumrah's third five-fer of the year came in Kolkata against South Africa when he claimed 5-27. In 13 T20Is in 2025, he picked up 14 wickets at an average of 20.92 and an economy rate of 7.11. Seven of the scalps came in the Asia Cup.
#2 Varun Chakaravarthy
Team India leg spinner Varun Chakaravarthy was exceptional in T20Is in 2025. He also did an excellent job in the limited opportunities he got in ODIs. In 24 matches, he picked up 46 wickets at a superb average of 14.45, with the aid of two five-wicket hauls.
In 20 T20Is in 2025, Chakaravarthy claimed 36 wickets at an average of 13.19 and an economy rate of 7.08. He starred with 5-24 against England in Rajkot and finished the five-match series with 14 wickets. Chakaravarthy also claimed 4-53 against South Africa in Ahmedabad and ended the series with 10 scalps.

#1 Kuldeep Yadav (60 wickets)
Left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav ends 2025 as Team India's leading wicket-taker across formats. In 25 matches, he picked up 60 wickets at an average of 20.48, with the aid of one five-wicket haul.
Kuldeep picked up 20 wickets in four Tests in 2025 at an average of 23.15. His best of 5-82 was registered against West Indies in Delhi. Kuldeep was Player of the Match for claiming eight wickets in the Test.
The wrist spinner played 11 ODIs in 2025 and claimed 19 wickets at an average of 29 and an economy rate of 5.28, with two four-fers. Kuldeep also claimed 21 scalps in 10 T20Is in 2025 at an economy rate of 7.04, with two four-fers.
