Tony Romo makes hilarious mistake on Bills-Broncos broadcast, calling Josh Allen 'Mahomes'

The first half of the Bills/Broncos playoff game was filled with a lot of crazy moments, but one of the more interesting things to take place in this game actually didn't happen on the field.

It was in the broadcast booth, as CBS color commentator Tony Romo made a hilarious mistake during the broadcast, that many people had a laugh over and pointed it out right away on social media.

What did Tony Romo accidentally call Josh Allen?

Early in the second quarter of the Bills/Broncos game, Bills' quarterback Josh Allen ran the ball down the middle of the field, getting a sizeable gain for a first down.

When they went to show the replay, Romo could be heard calling Josh Allen "Mahomes", without recognizing the mistake.

It was an impressive play, which must have reminded Romo of a type of play we would see out of Patrick Mahomes.

Romo already has a history of being accused of being pro-Mahomes on broadcasts, so social media had a lot of fun with this situation.

This mistake also came just a week or so after Romo received backlash for other mistakes he made on-air during a recent game.

It's important to note that Mahomes hasn't played in over a month, since going down with a season-ending injury, so it's interesting that Romo made this mistake with Mahomes being out of the playoff picture over the past few weeks.
