Tony Khan to strip top AEW star of his title after shocking incident? Exploring the possibility

Following some recent occurrences in AEW, Tony Khan could be forced to make a decision that could impact a major title scene. Could he end up stripping a top champion of their title because of their recent actions?

Ricochet is currently the National Champion, and he has been a fighting champion, having put this title on the line on multiple occasions. However, at times, the Gates of Agony always get involved in his matches. He can take advantage of the chaos to put his opponents away.

His recent victim was Jack Perry. A few days ago, on AEW Dynamite, this match took place. To make matters worse, the Gates of Agony were around once more, and Toa Liona ended up taking out Luchasaurus, who was ringside. Apart from coming away with the win, The Demand left a lasting impression, as they injured Luchasaurus's shoulder by brutally smashing it with a guard rail.

Tony Khan could step in and stop the group before they come away with more victims. He could strip Ricochet of his title to make him an example and to deter other champions from attempting other stunts like this one.

Unfortunately, this may end up just being wishful thinking, as there has never been an instance where this has happened. Realistically, TK may only end up fining The Demand for their recent behavior, or at most, giving them a brief suspension in kayfabe.

Luchasaurus was written off from AEW TV

The former TNT Champion's shoulder injury is said to be legitimate. Fightful Select reported that the spot was done to write him off TV as he is set to miss time due to the injury.

This seems to have been going on for some time, as during his brief appearance on the Zero Hour pre-show of AEW Worlds End, his shoulder was all taped up, and they also made a way for him to not be at ringside the whole time during his match.

Luchasaurus is dealing with a legitimate shoulder injury and will likely miss time, @FightfulSelect is told

There has been no timeline for his recovery, and it seems like Jack Perry will have to be a singles competitor for the immediate future. He could look for revenge on The Demand after what they did to his tag team partner. Ricochet may have to keep an eye open, as his actions may end up having consequences.
