Tony Khan opened up on the recent return of a former AEW World Champion ahead of Worlds End 2025. Khan also addressed the star's huge match at the pay-per-view this weekend.
Ex-AEW World Champion MJF's return was addressed by Tony Khan. Maxwell Jacob Friedman made his blockbuster return to AEW TV after a few months of absence last Wednesday on Holiday Bash. He confronted the World Champion, Samoa Joe, and his challengers at Worlds End, Swerve Strickland and Hangman Page, during the contract signing.
MJF also cashed in his World title contract in advance to get added into the World title match at Worlds End to make it a four-way between him, Joe, Swerve, and Hangman. Tony Khan finally opened up on The Devil's return.
During his interview with TV Insider, Khan addressed MJF's thrilling return last Wednesday:

"MJF is back and has got his own rivalries. There was the one who took the championship from him at Worlds End two years earlier and holds the championship now, Samoa Joe. MJF wisely returned to a contract signing segment for AEW Holiday Bash this past week when there was no physicality allowed or competitors. It’s going to be a fantastic pay-per-view."Tony further expressed his excitement for the four-way AEW World title match at Worlds End 2025:
"I’m excited for Worlds End this weekend and thrilled about that four-way for the world championship as part of this big Christmas week. He plotted to take the AEW World Championship after Joe was instrumental in helping him win this championship." Before MJF cashed in his AEW World title contract to get added into the four-way match at Worlds End 2025, Swerve Strickland and Hangman Page were set to challenge Samoa Joe. In the same interview, Tony Khan addressed Swerve and Hangman in the match:
"Page is also a two-time champion. One of Samoa Joe’s greatest rivals and who has been through hell with Hangman Page and fought beside him as well. Swerve Strickland is in there too," Tony said.
