The San Francisco 49ers are welcoming the division rival Los Angeles Rams to Levi's Stadium for a key Week 10 matchup. But the Rams aren't the only rival coming to San Francisco.
Tom Brady is coming to San Francisco to call the 49ers-Rams matchup for the first time since becoming a broadcaster for Fox Sports. Amid a return to his hometown, Brady's beef with the 49ers comes back to the limelight.
In a recent segment on Fox Sports NFL, Brady revealed why he still has beef with the 49ers, his childhood team, all these years later. It's a fitting reason for the Goat, one that stems back to the 2000 NFL Draft.
Tom Brady reveals 'Goat' reason behind beef with 49ers
"You know, my allegiance to the Niners left when they skipped over me six times in the 2000 draft. So every time I wanted to play the Niners, I just wanted to make sure that the coaches who were out there at the time: You choose a goat farmer over me, and I never forgot that."

Brady is referencing the 49ers drafting quarterback Giovanni Carmazzi over him in the 2000 NFL Draft. He was selected in the third round, at pick 65, by the 49ers. He played just two seasons in San Francisco before leaving the NFL less than two years after being drafted.
As Brady alludes to, after he retired from football, Carmazzi became a farmer, owning five goats. What makes this such a fitting outcome is that Brady is widely panned as the "Goat" of the National Football League.

The 49ers passed on arguably the "Goat" of the NFL, instead taking a player who would later go on to, as Brady called him, "a goat farmer."
There were a ton of other teams that passed on Brady in the NFL Draft, but the hometown team passing on him six times, including selecting a different quarterback over him, is what's fueled Brady's beef with the 49ers.
On Sunday in Week 10, the 49ers won't have just one rival in attendance, as the Rams and Brady will both have some strong feelings toward the 49ers coming into this huge matchup.
