Lewis Hamilton suffered another Q2 exit at the Brazilian GP weekend as he qualified 13th for the Grand Prix around the Interlagos Circuit. Subsequently, witnessing the seven-time champion's dismal result during qualifying, fans shared their take over social media and seemingly battered the Briton for his result.

Hamilton arrived at the Brazilian GP weekend with another opportunity to claim his first podium with Ferrari in a Grand Prix format. He currently has the record for one of the most unfortunate streaks for any Ferrari driver, as he has gone the most races without ending up on the rostrum for the Italian giant.

Though the 40-year-old sported a special helmet to take around Sao Paulo, even this wasn't able to help him in his pursuit of putting in solid qualifying sessions. He first suffered an elimination during the second qualifying segment for the sprint qualifying session, and this trend continued into the qualifying for the Grand Prix, as Hamilton was again knocked out after he qualified 13th for the Brazilian GP.

Reflecting on the Briton's result, fans took to social media and wrote on X:

"Sainz to Hamilton is going to go down as one of the biggest F1 downgrades of all time," one fan wrote. "Hamilton behind Alonso AGAIN 🤣🤣🤣," another fan wrote. "Hamilton getting eliminated today and yesterday is crazy work," another fan shared.

Fans further wrote:

"Lewis what are you doing on the floor," one netizen wrote. "Anyone that still believes he's getting a Podium this year, i'm sorry but it's not happening," another netizen wrote. "Lewis qualy just aint there in this car. still a legend," a third netizen shared.

Meanwhile, Lewis Hamilton moved up the order during the sprint race as he moved up from 11th to take the checkered flag in seventh.

Lewis Hamilton has had a topsy-turvy debut campaign with Ferrari. He has secured numerous fourth-place results but has been unable to get inside the top three in the Grand Prix format.

With only four Grand Prix left before the end of the 2025 season, Hamilton revealed that he is now only focusing on having fun in the remainder of the season (via F1's official website):

"I think at this point it’s literally just about having fun. It’s not going well from my side, my year, and I just have to enjoy it wherever I am. That’s all I can do."

Hamilton scored two points during the sprint race, which boosted his points tally from 146 to 148 in the drivers' championship standings.
