Legendary golfer Tiger Woods failed to grab the top spot in Brandel Chamblee's latest list of the top three greatest golf swings of all time. The golf commentator replied to a social media user who posted their own top three names on X.

On December 24, an X-user replied to Chamblee's earlier post about golf swings and named his greatest trio as Bobby Jones, Sam Snead, and Fred Couples.

"3 greatest songs all time Jones, Snead, Couples"

Chamblee corrected the user and posted his top 3 as nine-time major champion Ben Hogan in the first place, Tiger Woods in second, and Sam Snead in third. He wrote:

"I assume you mean “swings” :) and they are: Hogan Tiger (2000… & 2019) Snead"

Chamblee has been open with his admiration for the 82-time PGA Tour winner's swing in the past as well. In an X post from February 13, Chamblee shared a detailed analysis of the Former World No. 1's upper and lower body movements during a swing. The veteran golf analyst further stated that such movement was an optimal way to achieve maximum distance and accuracy.

Apart from his swing analysis, Chamblee has compared the 15-time major champion's and Hogan's golf swings before. Even though he ranked Woods in second place below Hogan, in his recent tweet, Chamblee has ranked the Cypress Native higher in the past.

When Brandel Chamblee felt Tiger Woods' swing in 1999-2002 was better than Ben Hogan's

In February 2024, an X account titled Classic Golf Swing shared a clip of golfing great Ben Hogan's iconic swing from one of the tournaments. The footage of the two-time PGA Championship winner's play immediately gained traction as the user left a question in the caption for fans:

"What pro today has a better swing than this?"

Brandel Chamblee reposted the clip and stated that Woods had a better swing during the years between 1999 and 2002. He wrote on X:

"None. Although Tiger Woods circa 1999-2002 did."

That was not the first instance of Chamblee's admiration for Woods' swing during his 2000 era. In an X post from October 2023, Chamblee ranked ten professional golfers based on the control, power, or aesthetics of their golf swings.

In the aforementioned list, "Tiger Woods 2000" was first, followed by Ben Hogan in second. In another instance, Chamblee shared a clip of Woods' swing from the 2000 Open Championship on X and labeled it as the "best swing ever made".
