Christian Lee is among the fighters in ONE Championship who are multidivisional world champions. He added his name to the elite list by winning the vacant welterweight MMA championship belt to add to the lightweight gold already in his possession.
'The Warrior' did it at ONE on Prime Video 4 in November 2022 in Singapore, coming back to beat former welterweight king Kiamrian Abbasov by TKO in the fourth round.
Lee was dropped by Abbasov in the opening round with a huge left hook, which 'Brazen' followed up with a barrage of telling strikes. The Singaporean-American fighter, however, survived the onslaught and managed to end the frame on the mat in top position.
The two had a spirited back-and-forth in the ensuing two rounds before Christian Lee picked up the heat in the fourth round, connecting on solid punches and leg kicks.

He was able to take the match to the ground and got the leverage he needed, from which he uncorked devastating ground strikes which Abbasov had not answer to, leaving the referee with no choice but to stop the match in the 4:20 mark of the round.
ONE Championship relived the epic come-from-behind win of Lee by uploading the full fight on its official YouTube channel.

The win over Abbasov was Lee's second straight title conquest after he reclaimed the lightweight belt with a second-round TKO of former champion Ok Rae Yoon three months prior.
Christian Lee, however, took a two-year self-imposed break after winning the welterweight world title for personal reasons, including mourning the untimely passing of younger sister and fellow ONE fighter Victoria in December 2022.
Christian Lee defends lightweight MMA belt at ONE 173
Christian Lee returns to ONE Championship action later this month to defend his lightweight MMA belt.
The 27-year-old champion will take on Turkish challenger Alibeg Rasulov in a rematch at ONE 173: Superbon vs. Noiri on Nov. 16 at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan.
Lee first met Rasulov in December last year for the lightweight gold but the match ended in a no-contest after he accidentally poked the eye of Rasulov in the second round, with the latter unable to continue after.
The rematch is one of six world title matches on offer at ONE 173, which marks the second live on-ground event of ONE Championship in Japan this year.
Tickets for ONE 173: Superbon vs. Noiri are available via ePlus in Japan. For more information and updates on the event, follow Sportskeeda MMA and ONE Championship.
