Raheem Morris and the Atlanta Falcons pulled off an impressive 29-28 road win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday Night Football. The Falcons rallied from a 14-point deficit in the final quarter to pick up their fifth win of the 2025 season.

Despite the victory, many questions remain about Morris’ future in Atlanta, and some fans would have happily seen the coach dismissed by halftime of the game.

A video that has gone viral shows Morris sneaking from behind and kissing Amazon analyst Andrew Whitworth on the cheek at halftime of the Week 15 game. The Falcons were up 14-13 at the time, but that didn’t stop fans on X from reacting to the moment.

"Pre-show, halftime show, post-game show don’t matter he needs to be gone for being a** at his job," one fan said. "Man got him a SB win in LA but this is egregious...lol," another fan said. "What did we expect from a grown man that always wears capri pants," another fan commented. "Bruh dis not what we meant when we said fit the Culture bruh 💔💔💔💔💔💔," one fan said. "Can we get a serious head coach?" another fan commented. "He has always sucked as a coach! Fire his a**," another fan added.

Morris and Whitworth share a professional history from their time with the LA Rams. Morris served as the team's defensive coordinator in 2021, Whitworth’s final season as a player, which ended with a Super Bowl victory.

Questions about Morris and the Falcons’ coaching staff have emerged this year, which isn’t surprising given that teams with playoff expectations often face scrutiny when they struggle.

Has Raheem Morris earned a third season with the Falcons?

Raheem Morris took over as the Atlanta Falcons coach ahead of the 2024 season, charged with improving a team that had shown little progress under Arthur Smith. Morris had previously spent three seasons as the Rams’ defensive coordinator, contributing to a 2021 Super Bowl win and a playoff run in 2023.

So far in Atlanta, Morris has struggled, and questions about his in-game management continue to grow. Morris led the Falcons to just a single-game improvement in 2024. The 2025 campaign was supposed to be a bounce-back year, but the Falcons have fallen to 5-9 and are now eliminated from playoff contention.

It’s hard to argue that Morris should be given a third season, as his Falcons have slipped into the lower tier of the NFL in his second year. That said, he still has three games remaining to prove to ownership that he deserves another shot.
