John Cena is set to wrap up his legendary professional wrestling career at the upcoming Saturday Night's Main Event. The Cenation leader will wrestle his last match as an active WWE performer against Gunther in Washington DC. Ahead of arguably one of the most iconic matches of the year, Sports Analyst and WWE Commentator Pat McAfee sent an emotional message regarding the Last Real Champion.
Ahead of Cena's upcoming retirement match, Pat McAfee spoke about Cena's contributions to the business on his Pat McAfee Show and how his final match will be according to him.
"I would assume now, could just be a match, could just go out old school, let's just do a match... The Last Time is Now has kind of been the entire year here and this would be the Last Time ever here for a guy that a lot of people in the business call the GOAT for good reason. 20+ years on the top, carrying the business to a whole different level and into a whole thing and was there every single night. So, I would assume that they're going to try to make this a spectacle but John Cena is very much like,.. "I'd rather it be just a wrestling show" because he's a super wrestling guy.... So I assume there's going to be quite a who's who on Saturday Night for John Cena's last match ever especially with how many years and how many different generations he worked with and all that stuff. " He said. (0:46 onwards)It will be interesting to see how the finish of Cena's final match will play out at Saturday Night's Main Event.
