A. J. Brown has cut a frustrated figure in the 2025 regular season. While speaking to reporters ahead of Week 12, Brown was asked about speculation that he isn't the same player this season.
The perennial Pro Bowler replied,
"I guess Saquon ain't the same player either, then."•

A. J. Brown and Saquon Barkley are enduring offensive struggles in 2025
A. J. Brown and Saquon Barkley are two of the most important players in the Philadelphia Eagles' offense. Both players are currently playing below their All-Pro standards, and the former seems perturbed by the developments.
Brown has amassed a stat line of 38 catches, 457 receiving yards, and three touchdowns in nine games. Brown is currently on pace to go below 1,000 receiving yards and seven touchdowns this season. That would be the first time he'd fail to reach both marks since his final season with the Tennessee Titans.
Saquon Barkley, too, is enduring a down season. The 2024 Offensive Player of the Year has amassed a stat line of 175 carries, 662 rushing yards, and four rushing touchdowns in ten games. He's added 10 catches, 207 receiving yards, and two receiving TDs for good measure.
Barkley is on pace to amass just over 1,000 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns in 2025. These are significantly below his historic 2,005 rushing yards and 13 rushing touchdowns stat line from 2024.
A. J. Brown has been more vocal about his dissatisfaction with his offensive struggles, while Barkley has been mostly business-like. Both perennial Pro Bowlers were key to the Eagles' Super Bowl win last season and remain vital contributors in their quest to go back-to-back.
The Eagles are 8-2, and much of their success has been attributed to their lockdown defense. Their next game is against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 12.
