As just a freshman, Best led Tualatin (26-2) to a No. 18 ranking in the country and a dramatic upset of Clackamas for the Oregon (OSAA) 6A state crown. She averaged 15.1 points, 4.5 assists, and 3.9 steals despite sitting the second half of countless blowout victories, and dropped 26 in the state championship. Best is currently competing in the USA U16 National Team Trials in Colorado.

Easton McCullough, G, Farmington, 5-9

With 21 points and 3.5 assists a game, McCullough carried a heavy load for arguably the top team in Arkansas, which went 30-1 (unbeaten against in-state competition) with an AAA 5A state crown.

Arianna Robinson, G, Plano East, 5-10

Robinson navigated one of Texas tougher schedules to average 21.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.9 steals per game and lead her team to the UIL 6A D1 state semifinals.

Tati Griffin, G/F, Ontario Christian, 5-11

Nobody had a better freshman campaign than Griffin, who was already one of the top playmaking wings in the country for the CIF-SS Open Division champion and No. 3 team in the nation. She averaged 17.8 points, 8.2 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 2.7 steals on 54% shooting (41% 3FG) while bringing her best against the Knights' top opponents. Griffin had season highs of 29 points (11-18 FG) and four made threes to go with 11 boards in Ontario Christian's section title victory over Etiwanda.

Sydney Douglas, F/C, Ontario Christian, 6-7

The other half of Ontario Christian's spectacular freshman duo. Douglas lived up to the immense hype that preceded her high school debut with 14 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks a game shooting 48% overall and 35% from three for one of the nation's top teams.

Blankumsee's freshman campaign couldn't possibly have gone much better for arguably the top team in Ohio. She helped spearhead an undefeated 27-0 season and OHSAA D2 state title run with 12 points, 3.1 assists, and 2.7 steals per game on 53% shooting, including 28 points in the finals.

Lanae Dallas, G, Lincoln, 5-10

With 11.7 PPG, Dallas was the second-leading scorer on the No. 34 team in the country, which went 39-2 with a UIL 4A D2 state title. She came up clutch in many of Lincoln's biggest games and averaged 14.7 PPG in the playoffs.

Kaleigh Lucas, G, South Pointe, 5-5

Lucas was already a star for South Pointe for two seasons before getting to high school. And as a freshman, she reached another level. She averaged career-highs of 20.8 points, 4.1 assists, 3.9 rebounds, and 4.7 steals on 49% shooting (41% 3FG) as South Pointe went undefeated until the SCHSL AAAA state semifinals.

Kennedi Gaines, G, Bartlett, 5-5

Gaines might've had the best stat line anywhere for a freshman, and she did it for one of Alaska's better teams (25-3). She led the Golden Bears in nearly every statistical category with 28.1 points, 7.2 steals, 5.8 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game while making 107 three-pointers at a 35% clip.

Maliya Hunter, F/C, Archbishop Mitty, 6-2

It didn't take long for Hunter to establish herself as one of the top posts in California and beyond regardless of classification. The WCAL Player of the Year and 49ers Cal-Hi Sports CIF-CCS Player of the Year averaged 10.5 points and 5.9 rebounds for the CIF NorCal Open Division champion and No. 12 team in the country.
