The savage reason Shohei Ohtani bat flipped to celebrate game-winning HR for Dodgers vs. Diamondbacks

Shohei Ohtani is on a whole different planet from the rest of us mere mortals.

Not only did he hit a go-ahead, eventual game-winning three-run home run on Friday night in a wild 14-11 Dodgers win over the Diamondbacks.

He actually managed to celebrate in the most savage way possible.

Ohtani's bat flip made the rounds on social media after his prodigious blast.

The two-handed toss away wasn't invented by Ohtani, though.

A few innings earlier, he'd watched Diamondbacks star Lourdes Gurriel Jr. do the exact same celebration when he turned on a game-tying grand slam.

Ohtani apparently took note.

And amazingly, he didn't hesitate one bit. When Ohtani clobbered this baseball, he immediately broke out Gurriel's celebration.

Shohei is a savage.

He's beloved by his teammates for many reasons, and this will just add to the list.

The Dodgers spoke after the game about how they didn't have any doubt that Ohtani would deliver in that moment.

And apparently Ohtani was so comfortable in the big spot that he could premeditate his celebration. Brilliant stuff.
