The Neighbourhood may be headed to a neighbourhood near you.

Jesse Rutherford’s popular indie band just announced they’re taking their hits to arenas and auditoriums all over the globe on their 2026 ‘Wourld Tour.’

That includes a stop at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Tuesday, April 14.

All shows come in support of the group’s forthcoming fifth studio album “((((ultraSOUND))))),” which hits shelves Nov. 14. Prior to the record’s release, they’ve released three moody singles: “Private,” “OMG” and “Lovebomb.”

On top of the new album, The Neighbourhood are also celebrating the tenth anniversary of their landmark 2015 album “Wiped Out!,” having just released an expanded edition of the record featuring unreleased demo tracks, remixes and four new songs.

Prior to next year’s outing, the “Sweater Weather” outfit’s last performed in October 2021. While on that quick two-show jaunt, they headlined at Queens’ Forest Hills Stadium. According to Set List FM, they performed two sets- one featuring cuts from their 2020 record “Chip Chrome & The Mono-Tones” (where Rutherford took the stage as “Chip Chrome,” adorned in silver paint and wearing a fully black costume) and a second made up of fan favorites like “Daddy Issues,” “You Get Me So High,” “Afraid,” “Cry Baby” and, of course, “Sweater Weather.”

Time will only tell what their arena shows will look like next year.

As of now, all we know is the best way to find out is live.

Fans Hoodlums can purchase tickets for all upcoming North American The Neighbourhood shows on sites like Vivid Seats; the official on-sale for ‘The Wourld Tour’ is Friday, Nov. 7.

Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.

The Neighbourhood new music

Ahead of the Nov. 14 release of “((((ultraSOUND))))),” The Neighbourhood have dropped a trio of singles.

Up first is the angsty anthem “Private,” a clever ode to keeping things at arm’s length bolstered by a number of “shh’s.” It’s catchy, smart and perfect for bopping your head along to.

Next is the slightly more upbeat “OMG,” which is jangly, indie garage rock perfection full of reverb, longing and gorgeous lyrics like “Oh my god, I used to love you when/I was younger than I’ve ever been.” If that isn’t poetry, we don’t know what is.

Finally, “Lovebomb” begins with spaced-out bleeps, bloops and a washed-out sound that makes you feel like you’re floating in space until Rutherford grounds the tune with his emotive timbre.

The Neighbourhood controversy

In 2022, lead drummer Brandon Fried was removed from the group after receiving allegations of sexual misconduct from The Marías frontwoman María Zardoya.

Surprisingly, Fried is rejoining the band for this upcoming run of gigs.
