Arizona dad Christopher Scholtes dead after leaving 2-year-old daughter to die in hot car while he watched porn

An Arizona man who pleaded guilty to leaving his 2-year-old daughter to die in a car in their sweltering driveway while he watched porn inside has now died too, according to reports.

Christopher Scholtes was listed as dead by the Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s office Wednesday, according to ABC 15.

Scholtes was facing between 20-30 years in prison. Pima County

He was due to report to prison, but never arrived at the hearing Wednesday, where he was scheduled to be taken into custody.

Scholtes recently pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and was sentenced to between 20 and 30 years in prison.

Scholtes was watching porn while is 2-year-old daughter was left to die in a hot car.

His older daughter, who will turn 18 this month, sued him last week for emotional distress.

His cause of death remains under investigation.
