Ariel Helwani recently shared his thoughts on the Andrew Tate vs. Chase DeMoor boxing match at Misfits Mania: The Fight Before Christmas event. The veteran combat sports journalist claimed that the outcome of the fight may have revealed the "biggest fraud check" ever.
Tate went up against DeMoor in a six-round heavyweight boxing match last weekend in Dubai. While many expected Tate to dominate the 29-year-old American, the former kickboxer was thoroughly outclassed and ultimately lost the contest via majority decision.
Given Tate's fighting pedigree and experience, his loss took many by surprise. In a recent episode of The Ariel Helwani Show, the journalist got brutally real about the implications of the Tate-DeMoor fight outcome and said:
"Is it fair to say, guys, that after all the discussions we've had on this topic throughout our lives as combat sports pundits or journalists... Is it fair to say, that the greatest fraud check of all time happened on Saturday when Andrew Tate lost to Chase DeMoor... This might be the quintessential fraud check. His whole thing: Alpha Male, the man commenting on other fighters, and the best part is the cope."Get the latest updates on One Championship Rankings at Sportskeeda and more
He added:
"Him trying to break it down how what he did against Chase and what Jake [Paul] did against Anthony [Joshua] are two of the same things is hilarious to me... He should've never taken this fight... Miss me with the, 'I'm proud of myself for trying, and I went in there against a champion who's really good.' No, you didn't. You went in there, and you looked awful, and you failed."Andrew Tate still believes he's a "better boxer" than Chase DeMoor
Andrew Tate isn't letting a boxing loss against Chase DeMoor get him down. The controversial influencer recently shared his take on the fight and admitted that he was gassed out after the second round.
During a livestream (via @HappyPunch on X), Tate addressed his loss against DeMoor and said:
"I got tired after the second round, and I don't know why. The first and second rounds, he couldn't touch me. If I didn't get tired, I would've won. I'm a better boxer. But I did get tired. Maybe it's ring rust. Maybe I'm too old. Maybe he's too heavy and kept leaning on me. I don't know why. But he beat me. And let me make something else very clear to you - I have complete respect for Chase DeMoor."Why did you not like this content?
