The ‘give-and-go’ injury recovery that will determine if Knicks’ Miles McBride can return for playoffs

It’s a race against the clock for Miles McBride to be back in time for the playoffs. 

He is undergoing surgery Friday for a sports hernia, league sources confirmed, with confidence that he’ll be back for the postseason.  

The first round of the NBA playoffs are set to begin April 18, just over 10 weeks from his surgery.

But two doctors The Post spoke with said that would very much be at the optimistic end of a recovery time table spectrum.
