The Ice Golem is the first boss introduced by the Christmas Update in The Forge. Possessing massive health and damage, it is a golem made of ice crystals wearing dark armor. It has four attacks and all of them are indicated by red circles on the ground or the boss' movements, giving players time to move away from the strike zone.

Defeating the Ice Golem requires deft dodging and recognition of the attack patterns. This guide features strategies to help players slay the boss in The Forge.

The Ice Golem boss is located behind a rune door in the Summit's Edge, which is an area in The Peak sub-location of Frostspire Expanse. To unlock Frostspire Expanse, you need to reach Level 70 by mining ores and finishing quests.

The Peak is an endgame sub-location that is easily accessible after you complete the Ice Man's quest. This NPC is opposite the Potions Shop, and it asks for Demonite, Fireite, and Magmaite ores, all of which can be obtained from Volcanic Rocks in the Forgotten Kingdom cave.

After finishing the Ice Man's tasks, access the boss arena by following these steps:

  • Head towards the Ice Man NPC after spawning in Frostspire Expanse.
  • Use the cannon behind the NPC to launch yourself towards Summit's Edge.
  • Turn back and enter the cave full of crystal-like rocks.
  • Run straight to enter the boss door.

Inside the boss arena, the Ice Golem will be waiting for players to approach it before beginning the battle.

The Ice Golem's health scales with the number of players present in the arena.

  • 1 player: 15,000 HP
  • 2 players: 22,500 HP
  • 3 players: 30,000 HP
  • 4 players: 37,500 HP

This enemy has no phases or stages. Rather, it cycles between four attacks:

  • Melee attack: The Ice Golem gets close to the player to strike them.
  • Icicle Shower: The Ice Golem slams its fist on the ground, causing icicles to fall on the ground from above. Their impact area is highlighted by red circles.
  • Ice Stomp: The Ice Golem stomps its feet, causing icicles to pop up in a line.
  • Jump Slam: The Ice Golem jumps and comes crashing on the ground, dealing damage in a large area. The impact area covers almost the entire arena.

All attacks deal a considerable amount of damage. If you die, you cannot re-enter the boss arena.
