The Chicago Bears are snagging more than just wins

The Chicago Bears took their season to new heights in Week 11. By securing a victory against the Minnesota Vikings, paired with the Eagles completing their end of the alliance and beating the Lions, the Bears now find themselves leaders of the NFC North.

It’s been an incredible run for the team as they’ve now won seven of their last eight games on the backs of not only Caleb Williams, but some solid defensive performances as well.

They may not always rack up three-and-outs, but the Chicago defense does step up when they need to. This has led them to become first in interceptions, tied for fourth in forced fumbles, and first in total turnovers.

As a team, they’ve been dominant at turning the ball over. While yes, when you take a look at the team leaderboard, the Bears reign supreme. They’re also dominating the individual leaderboards as well.

Bears boast the top three interception leaders in the NFL

Chicago, despite injuries to two of their top players in the secondary, Jaylon Johnson and Kyler Gordon, has managed to look like one of the top units in the league when turning the ball over.

If you look at the top three spots on the individual interceptions leaderboard, you’ll find nothing but Bears.

This is only the second time in he 21st century that Chicago has had three players with 4+ interceptions in one season.

Kevin Byard has been a godsend to an injury-riddled Bears secondary. With a league-leading five interceptions, paired with seven passes defended and three tackles for loss, Byard might make a push for an NFL All-Pro team.

Nahshon Wright has been a similar surprise, and at 6’4 with 4.5 40-time, Tremaine Edmunds has been one of the best coverage linebackers in the league this season.

Once Jaylon Johnson returns and Kyler Gordon does the same (hopefully by playoff time), the Bears might just be putting out one of the best secondaries in the league.
