Plenty of stars see eye to eye on these behind-the-scenes skincare staples.

Whether they’re prepping for a red carpet or simply snapping selfies, stars often apply under-eye patches for a last-minute refresh.

And while there are plenty of options on the market, A-listers aren’t masking their love for the below bestsellers — from Paige DeSorbo’s Amazon find to Hailey Bieber’s sustainable selection. (If it’s a full face mask you’re after, don’t forget to check out our guide to those, too.)

Best Overall: 111Skin Cryo De-Puffing Eye Mask

Pros:

  • Targets dark circles and puffiness
  • Can be stored in the fridge for a cooling boost

Cons:

  • One of the most expensive options on the list

So many stars swear by 111Skin, it just might be easier to an A-lister who hasn’t snapped a selfie in these rubbery eye masks. Everyone from Anne Hathaway to Paul Mescal to Adriana Lima has used the de-puffing product on social media.

Sydney Sweeney even called the patches a “great little pick-me-up” in an interview with People, saying: “They really just de-puff and brighten.”

The brand’s Celestial Black Diamond Eye Mask, designed to target dullness and pigmentation, is also a Hollywood hit, with stars like Charli XCX and Jenna Lyons praising its powers.

“These are for everyone, everywhere across the whole wide world,” Lyons told Page Six Style in 2023. “I use these before events for instantly bright and smooth under-eyes.”

Best Budget-Friendly: Grace & Stella Energizing Eye Masks

Pros:

  • Amazon’s No. 1 bestseller in the eye wrinkle pads category
  • Backed by over 5,400 five-star Amazon reviews

Cons:

  • Some reviewers noted they were difficult to remove from the packaging

When it comes to a more budget-friendly buy, these Amazon eye masks have plenty of Bravo stars saying “bravo.” Kyle Richards called them “a really cute gift” on Amazon Live, while Paige DeSorbo name-checked them in her own livestream, saying, “I love an under-eye patch.”

Jessica Alba’s also a fan, having worn them in an Instagram “GRWM” video.

Best Luxury: Knesko Nanogold Repair Eye Mask

Knesko Gold Repair Eye MaskKnesko

Pros:

  • Contains 24-karat colloidal gold
  • The brand says it plants two trees for every purchase

Cons:

  • On the pricier side

From reality stars to Oscar-winning actresses, a long list of A-listers use Knesko’s eye masks. Halle Berry, Dorinda Medley, Jessica Alba, Nina Dobrev and Kyle RIchards (to name just a handful) have all posted Instagram Stories wearing these 24-karat colloidal gold ones.

But the brand’s biggest famous fan just might be Kathy Hilton, who’s name-dropped it on several occasions.

“I go through Knesko eye masks like crazy,” she told Page Six Style after her famed holiday party in 2024. “They really eliminate any puffiness and feel great on.”

Best Unscented: Augustinus Bader The Eye Patches

Augustinus Bader The Eye PatchesRevolve

Pros:

  • Lightweight patches stayed in place throughout use, in our experience
  • Doesn’t have a strong scent

While Augustinus Bader might be best known for its celebrity-approved Rich Cream, its eye masks have graced plenty of famous faces, too. Case in point? Dua Lipa pulled some out of her Birkin during a video shoot with Vogue.

“I can’t live without them,” she said. “This is super important, especially with all my travels.”

Victoria Beckham’s facialist Melanie Grant is also a fan of the patches, which feature TCF8 — the same proprietary blend of amino acids, vitamins and peptides featured in the brand’s cult-favorite creams.

“It’s such a fast way to really boost hydration,” she said in a video with Vogue France, recommending tapping your fingers on the mask to “enhance the penetration of the actives.”

Page Six Style’s review: “I first tried these masks when doing an on-camera interview after waking up at 5 a.m. My skin felt so refreshed after using them, and I’ll definitely be keeping a few packs on hand for future exhausting days.” — Hannah Southwick, Page Six Commerce Writer

Best Caffeine Boost: Patchology Rejuvenating Eye Gels

Patchology eye masksPatchology

Pros:

  • More affordable than most options on this list
  • Only takes five minutes to use

Cons:

  • Some reviewers noted the floral scent was a big strong

Salma Hayek may be married to a billionaire, but her favorite eye masks cost just $15. The actress has shouted out these Patchology gels numerous times, telling Good Housekeeping the caffeine, hydrolyzed collagen and green tea-powered patches are “fantastic.”

Meanwhile, Tate McRae prefers the brand’s Rosé Eye Gels, which feature strawberry extract and hyaluronic acid.

“Usually before I go on set for music videos I’ll put these on so I don’t look dead,” she said in her Vogue “Beauty Secrets” video.

Best for Selfies: Peter Thomas Roth 24K Gold Hydra-Gel Eye Patches

Pros:

  • Comes with a spatula for easy removal

Cons:

  • Lavender-scented formula isn’t the best for those sensitive to fragrances

With 24-karat colloidal gold on the ingredient list, these luxe eye patches have earned gold stars from plenty of celebs. Selena Gomez, Remi Bader and Brooklyn Beckham have all worn them in social media videos, while “RHONY” star Racquel Chevremont told us “they just brighten under your eyes pretty quickly and easily.”

Jamie Lee Curtis called the patches “very soothing” after her “Freaky Friday” co-star (and Peter Thomas Roth ambassador) Lindsay Lohan introduced her to them.

Glam pros are similarly impressed; Martha Stewart’s longtime makeup artist, Daisy Toye, even included them in a ShopMy curation of her beauty favorites.

Page Six Style’s review: “My eye area can be very sensitive and reactive, so I tried these with trepidation. I was pleasantly surprised; they felt cool and soothing without irritation, like a modern update to putting on cucumber slices (sans veggies). They are full of anti-aging skincare heroes like hyaluronic acid, ceramides and collagen, so the effect is long-lasting — a perfect you-time treat — that also diminishes under-eye bags with caffeine.” — Erica Radol, Page Six Commerce Writer

Best Reusable: Dieux Forever Eye Mask

Dieux Forever Eye MaskSephora

Pros:

  • Can be customized with the serum or eye cream of your choice
  • More sustainable and budget-friendly than single-use masks

Cons:

  • Requires serum/eye cream to use

Unlike most masks on the market, Dieux’s are completely customizable — and won’t wind up in the trash after just 20 minutes of use. The reusable patches pair with any serum and have caught the eyes of stars like Hailey Bieber — who used them in a 2023 Vogue video — and Tyla, who slipped some on before the 2025 Met Gala.

Board-certified dermatologist Aegean Chan is also a fan, telling Page Six Style: “The Dieux Forever Eye Masks are fantastic because they are reusable and you can use your own favorite hydrating product underneath the patch.”

Page Six Style’s review: “After seeing so many of my friends rocking their Dieux eye masks on Instagram, I had to try them for myself — and the hype is real. I pair them with my go-to eye cream (Clarins Total Eye Lift) and they really do stay put, plus I love that they’re more sustainable and economical than single-use under-eye patches.” — Elana Fishman, Style & Shopping Director

“Once you’ve tried various disposable eye patches to varying degrees of success, it’s time to get a pair of the reusable Dieux set. They’re made with 100% silicone, which is proven to actually lock in whatever moisturizer or eye cream you choose put under them. Unlike some of the others that are pre-drenched in serum, you won’t waste any product or cause waste by throwing out single-use items, so it’s really a win-win-win.” — Melissa Minton, Page Six Style Senior Writer/Editor

FAQs

How often should eye masks be used?

Ashley GrahamAshley Graham 111skin/Instagram

While you should always follow the instructions on your exact eye mask, Chan says the ideal usage generally depends on ingredients.

“Hydrating masks with ingredients like hyaluronic acid or glycerin can be used daily to refresh and moisturize the delicate under-eye area,” she says. “But if your mask contains active ingredients — like retinol, vitamin C or niacinamide — it’s best to stick to two to three times per week to avoid irritation.”

For the best results, she recommends applying eye masks to freshly cleansed skin, then layering on any serums, moisturizers or eye creams from your regular routine.

Who should avoid using face masks?

Given the under-eye area is “one of the most delicate parts of the body,” Chan recommends exercising caution.

“People with atopic dermatitis (eczema), a history of eyelid allergies or generally sensitive skin should be particularly careful,” she says, advising avoiding formulas with active ingredients like retinol or vitamin C, “which can be more likely to cause irritation in this area.”

At the end of the day, it’s always a good idea to consult your own dermatologist about the best products for your specific needs.

Tips for reducing under-eye bags

“For a big shoot or event, the real work starts the night before,” says Chan.

“Prepping your skin with layers of hydrating serums followed by a richer, occlusive product — like a nourishing eye cream, balm, or even a petrolatum-based ointment like Vaseline — helps lock in moisture and keep the under-eye area plump and smooth by morning.”

And while she says sleeping with a humidifier can also boost hydration overnight, when the big day comes cold therapy “is your best friend.”

“Applying something chilled — like a jade roller, cooling eye mask or even a spoon from the fridge — can help reduce puffiness and leave the under-eye area looking refreshed and photo-ready,” she explains.

Her personal favorites include the Cosrx Advanced Snail Hydrogel Eye Patch, which she says is “incredibly hydrating and can temporarily plump up under-eye skin.”
