Las Vegas Aces Becky Hammon was clearly not happy after the team lost 95-68 to the Golden State Valkyries Saturday.

While speaking to reporters following the game, Hammon described star A'ja Wilson and her teammates as "soft."

"It's us being soft mentally and letting people punk us ... and whining instead of buckling down and saying, 'OK, if that's what it's going to be, let's go,'" said of the team's performance. "I told them effort has to come from your heart. The schemes, the discipline, the habits -- that's your head. Right now we not only have a heart issue, but it's [becoming] a head issue."

Hammon added that she isn't interested in only coaching part of the way. "I'm not going to coach effort. It's one thing I can't deal with. You are in charge of your effort. ... I've never been a coach to pull for mistakes, but I will pull for effort."

The Valkyries effectively swarmed Wilson and held the frequent shooter to only eight points in the game's first half. Wilson finished the match with 17 points in total.

The Aces will next play the Sparks at home on June 11.
