The 1 Brewers pitching prospect that could be 'major weapon' in postseason

The Milwaukee Brewers are one of the top World Series favorites. 

Milwaukee's pitching staff is led by NL Cy Young Award candidate Jacob Misiorowski, the hard-throwing youngster. 

With rosters expanding from 26 to 28 players on September 1, the Brewers could consider adding one of their top pitching prospects for the final month of the regular season. 

Bleacher Report's Joel Reuter believes the right-hander's curveball could be one of the best pitches in Milwaukee's bullpen. 

"While he made four spot starts earlier this season, [Coleman] Crow would slot into a multi-inning role in the Milwaukee bullpen down the stretch where his high-spin curveball could be a major weapon," Reuter wrote. 

Crow made five appearances earlier this season for the Brewers. He permitted 11 runs and gave up 21 hits in 18.2 innings, striking out 10 while walking six in the process.

The Brewers acquired Crow in the 2024 trade that sent right-hander Adrian Houser and outfielder Tyrone Taylor to the New York Mets. 

"The Brewers figure to lean heavily on mixing and matching arms in October behind ace Jacob Misiorowski, and Crow is capable of pitching his way onto the playoff roster with a strong September showing," Reuter added. 

Crow could play a pivotal role for the Brewers down the stretch as a multi-inning reliever.
