Myles Garrett needs only one more sack to break the league's single-season record. But the team around him is collapsing, and he is getting impatient at its current lack of competitiveness.
Ever since the star edge rusher's monstrous award-winning 2023 season, the Cleveland Browns have gone a dismal 7-26 and are poised for another last-place finish in the AFC North. Nevertheless, he is not looking at tanking and rebuilding as a way to maximize his prime.

When asked whether plans for the 2025 season had been busted, he continued:
"Maybe a little bit. But at the end of the day, not everything goes as planned. Not everything that you want to happen comes to fruition. Myles Garrett gets candid on Browns HC Kevin Stefanski's future
Throughout his nine seasons in the NFL, Myles Garrett has played under four head coaches. He has lasted the longest and had the most success under Kevin Stefanski, but uncertainty now looms over the two-time award winner after another streak of losing records.
In the same media availability, he said about whether Stefanski could turn the team around should he be retained:
"I don't know what the future holds, whether it's with him or anything else. I'm going to look forward to playing under whoever it is, be happy to be here and being a Brown regardless."One person who has been mentioned as a possible replacement is defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz. When asked about the prospects of a coaching change, Garrett said:
"Would I like to play under Jim? Would I like to keep the team and for us to improve? Absolutely. But these are things that are handled by people who sign my checks, so they make bigger decisions than I can account for. So I'm going to allow them to do what they do, give my opinions as they ask for it. And then I’ve got to rock with whoever they have here."The Browns end their season against the in-state rival Cincinnati Bengals. Kickoff is at 1 pm ET on CBS.
