Urijah Faber wants Conor McGregor to fight at the UFC White House event set for 2026.

The event is part of the America250 celebrations and will be held on the White House lawn. Donald Trump had earlier spoken of having eight to nine title fights, while Dana White will be starting fight negotiations from February next year.

While McGregor has thrown his name into the hat to fight on the card, nothing has been confirmed yet.

Faber, while speaking to The Schmo, was asked about McGregor at the White House. The UFC Hall of Famer claimed this would be a good fight for him and he should face Michael Chandler

“I think he probably will if he is going to be returning to fight Michael Chandler. It’s got a long buildup, it’s a good match up to get him back in. From what I understand, Conor has hit like a new spot in his life where he is inspired, he is saved, excited about doing good and seemed like he needed to make a change."

Faber added that he had spoken to McGregor’s manager and wanted to see him fight:

“He is in a really good place. I’d love to see him fight, that guy loves to fight. There’s nothing he loves more than a confrontation.”

Michael Chandler claims Conor McGregor is preparing for their fight

Michael Chandler and Conor McGregor were to face off at UFC 303. However, the fight was called off after the Irishman injured his foot.

Chandler has been calling out McGregor ever since. After RAF 03, Chandler claimed that he didn’t call out his rival simply because he had some inside news.

The former Bellator champion claimed that McGregor had started his fight camp for the White House:

“There’s a simple reason why I didn’t call out Conor [McGregor]…I’ve done it enough. The fight’s already happening…he wants to fight me. He’s brought in guys to his training camp to mimic my style.”

Chandler added that McGregor would keep his word and they would fight after signing a contract in 2024.
