Texas homeowners terrified after stranger wearing satanic mask appears at their front door: ‘Scared to leave the house’

Two Texas homeowners were left terrified after a mysterious person wearing a satanic mask showed up outside their front door wielding a sign with a bible verse depicting the apocalypse written on it.

The residents captured doorbell footage of the unannounced guest standing outside of their Carrollton home — a suburb just north of Dallas — around 8 p.m. on Saturday, according to CBS.

The unsettling video shows the individual dressed in all black, wearing a red mask with horns and holding a sign that appears to be made out of cardboard.

The sign reads, “REVELATION 20:1-15.”

The Bible passage describes the apocalypse and how believers will go to heaven while nonbelievers will be thrown into the lake of fire, according to Biblia.

“I’m scared,” the homeowner told the outlet. “I’m scared to leave the house. I’m scared to be at the house.”

“It’s about the end of times,” she added. “It’s about judgment day. I freaked out. I couldn’t even think of anything.” 

The unknown person rang the doorbell and stood feet away from the front door seemingly waiting for someone to answer.

After waiting a few seconds, the person knocked on the door.

When nobody answered, the masked individual walked behind the home and then stood on the back driveway of the same house with the sign.

The homeowner told the outlet that she and her husband had gone out for dinner and stopped to buy a Powerball ticket when the creepy encounter occurred.

The Carrollton Police Department told WFAA that the masked individual hadn’t been seen on any other properties in the area, and did not commit a crime.

Cops are monitoring the neighborhood just in case another situation like this happens again.

“We encourage residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to police,” a spokesperson from the Carrollton Police Department reportedly said.

Neighbors in the area told local media that they are on guard now too because they don’t know if the person behind the mask was playing a prank or trying to suggest something darker.

“We mostly know each other around here and are all very nice,” neighbor Scott Geairn told the outlet.
