The Houston Texans are lined up to add one of the best players still available in NFL free agency.
It'll just require a passed physical for Nick Chubb.
Chubb, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, is "expected to sign" with the Texans on Monday.
It'll be the first time Chubb plays anywhere in the NFL other than the Cleveland Browns.
He's one of the best players in this modern era of Cleveland football, but injuries ended his tenure in disappointment.
Chubb suffered a serious knee injury in Week 2 of 2023 and missed the rest of the season. Even after coming back in 2024, he was ineffective and then got hurt again.

If Chubb is at his best, he's a powerful runner who can finish drives in the red zone.
But if he struggles to the tune of a 3.3 yards per carry again, it could be a disappointment for Houston.
He won't have to be a star at running back. They've already got Joe Mixon to do that.
This is a chance for the Texans to add a veteran presence to a playoff team in hopes of strong mentorship, leadership and the occasional big play.
If Chubb can provide that, it'll be a great outcome for Houston.
