Team USA's Mason Miller on absurd 272-pitch streak in WBC, including end of Padres season

Mason Miller is on a hot streak on the pitcher's mound, which makes sense. He throws harder than anyone else in baseball.

And when you look back to the end of his season with the San Diego Padres and combine it with his action for Team USA in the World Baseball Classic, you end up with a 272-pitch blaze of fire.

Miller hasn't allowed a hit on any of his last 272 pitches thrown, according to Codify Baseball.

Miller has pitched 4.0 innings in the WBC and struck out 10 hitters. He has walked two.

He pitched in two postseason games before this with the Padres, 2.2 innings total, eight strikeouts (to account for eight outs), no walks and just one hit by pitch.

Miller last allowed a hit on Sept. 6.

His last nine outings of the regular season after that for San Diego accounted for 10.0 innings with 21 strikeouts and just four walks.

The last guy to get a hit off Miller? Colorado Rockies incredibly named hitter Warming Bernabel. He hit a single on the ground through the right side against Miller with two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning on Sept. 6.

Since then, Miller has been unhittable.
