Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes have been one of the best passer-receiver duos of the 2020s, contributing to two Super Bowl titles during the decade. However, one would not have guessed it when watching them on Monday.

In the first half against the Washington Commanders, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end failed multiple times to catch his quarterback's passes, leading to pained reactions from fans:

Kelce is washed, he can’t catch a god damn thing

"Mahomes MVP run over because of Travis Kelce," one rued. "This is becoming painful," another winced. "JUST RETIRE BRO PLEASE," another begged.

Those incompletions were part of a slow period that saw both sides exchange interceptions on the first two drives. On the third, the Commanders managed to reach opposing territory, but Dan Quinn erroneously decided to go for it rather than try a field goal, subsequently committing a turnover on downs.

The Chiefs then followed it up with yet another interception, which once again the Commanders capitalized on by entering field goal range. However, Quinn refused to play it safe and committed another turnover on downs.

This time, it would haunt him, as Kareem Hunt scored a rushing touchdown to end the drought. However, Marcus Mariota responded by finding Terry McLaurin at the far side of the end zone to tie the game.
