Soon, Seong-uk learns that Dong-min has lost ownership of the gym and confronts him, demanding it be reclaimed. Meanwhile, to advance the plan, Do-gi returns to the gambling zone and deliberately loses, restoring the gym ownership to Dong-min.

However, he introduces himself to Dong-min as Park Min-ho to increase pressure and make Dong-min confused. After Dong-min leaves the gambling zone, the team attack him. Making him unconscious they take him back to the gym's secret room, the bating room.

Upon regaining consciousness, Dong-min believes that he inadvertently brought Do-gi into the gambling zone while drunk, unknowingly introducing him to the operation. Do-gi then tells Dong-min that he has also offered him a partnership in the match-fixing scheme, which he accepts to infiltrate further in the ring.

Dong-min is uneasy because he must report to Seong-yuk and plans to eliminate Do-gi himself. Do-gi however, continues infiltrating their network further and eventually meets Seong-yuk, revealing his involvement.

Learning that Do-gi knows about the bating ring, Seong-yuk orders his men to kill him. Anticipating the attack, Do-gi dodges it and survives unscathed.

As part of the next phase, Do-gi aims to traumatize Seong-yuk and Dong-min to force them into leading the Rainbow Taxi Team to the place where Park Min-ho is buried. Dong-min disguises himself as a European football recruiter and approaches one of the players Seong-uk uses to fix matches.

Praising the player’s potential and urging him to perform well, Do-gi disrupts Seong-uk’s plan. Simultaneously, Do-gi appears at the gym wearing Park Min-ho’s jersey, haunting Seong-uk and instilling fear in his mind.

Terrified, Seong-uk rushes to the burial site and digs up Park Min-ho’s body to confirm it is there. Do-gi observes this from a distance and informs the Rainbow Team of the body’s location.

However, he also sees Seong-uk call another person to report about the situation. This make him realize that there is involvement of a third party.

This third person is Gwan-jin, the mastermind behind the entire match-fixing operation. Now based in the Philippines, Gwan-jin runs a real-life survival game that allows people to bet through internet. He also the one who has murdered Park Min-ho.

The story flashed back 15 years to show that Gwan-jin was once the sponsor of Park Min-ho’s team. He attempted to bribe Park Min-ho with shoes, but Min-ho refused. Gwan-jin used Seong-uk and Dong-min to fix a volleyball match.

When Min-ho threatened to report them to the police, Gwan-jin struck him in the locker room, unseen by CCTV, and then ran him over with his car outside, killing him. After the murder, Gwan-jin forced Seong-uk to help carry Park Min-ho’s body to his grandmother’s grave and buried him there.

Dong-min later took the blame for assaulting Park Min-ho and goes to prison; since the body was missing, no murder charges are filed. When Park Min-ho’s father tried to uncover the truth 15 years ago with Seong-cheol, Gwan-jin and Seong-uk hit him with a truck, causing him to develop amnesia.

Returning to the present, Gwan-jin becomes aware of the disruptions in the gambling system and the resurfacing of Park Min-ho’s body. He returns to Korea. Upon interrogating Dong-min and Seong-uk about the events he kills them.

Later as after autopsy, Park Min-ho’s body is being moved to a funeral home, Gwan-jin steals it to destroy evidence of his crime. He also attempts to kill Park Min-ho’s father, but the Do-gi intervenes and saves him.

Seeing Do-gi skillfully saving Mr. Park the next morning, Gwan-jin lures him to an abandoned school. There, he forces Do-gi into a survival game, creating a betting system where people gamble on his life.

Do-gi fights off dozens of attackers round after round and emerges as the survivor. Soon after with the help of Go-eun, he locates the room where Gwan-jin is hiding and rushes inside.

Gwan-jin is heavily guarded, but Do-gi defeats his security team soon and engages him in a one-on-one fight. Though initially overpowered, Do-gi ultimately throws Gwan-jin from third floor into a dug-out grave in the ground.

Falling in the grave, severely injured Gwan-jin pleads for mercy but Do-gi reminds him of the suffering he caused Park Min-ho’s father, who now has only a 30-minute memory span. Do-gi turns on a forklift to pour mud into the grave continuously and walks away leaving him to get buried alive, .

Finally, the Rainbow Taxi Team recovers Park Min-ho’s body and takes it, along with his father, to a burial ground. The location offers a stunning view of the sunset, just as Park Min-ho loves.

In the closing scene of the episode, Do-gi drives Park Min-ho’s father in his taxi, carrying the ashes to the burial. On this note episode 8 of Taxi Driver 3 ends.
