ONE featherweight Muay Thai world champion Tawanchai PK Saenchai isn't planning on a long night's work against Liu Mengyang next Friday, Dec. 19.

The PK Saenchai Muaythaigym affiliate returns to action in search of redemption after suffering a heartbreaking defeat to Masaaki Noiri in their ONE interim featherweight kickboxing world title tiff at ONE 172 in Saitama, Japan.

He returns in a featherweight kickboxing bout against Chinese standout Liu Mengyang. Their three-round tie headlines ONE Friday Fights 137 inside Bangkok's legendary Lumpinee Stadium.

During ONE's Media Day in Thailand, the 26-year-old Thai megastar predicted an early finish when he locks horns against Liu.

"I will be showing 'Tawanchai' in 100 percent kickboxing form. No need to over-adjust; I'll just go in with the skills I have. The match has a good chance of ending early [and not going the distance], but it depends on which side it happens to," he declared.

ONE Friday Fights 137 will be available on ONE Championship's YouTube channel, the ONE Super App, and watch.onefc.com. Geo-restrictions may apply.

Tawanchai's finishing power makes early stoppage prediction realistic

When Tawanchai predicts an early night out, he's speaking from experience, having finished elite strikers who stood across from him in the ring.

The 26-year-old martial artist's patient counter-striking creates devastating knockout opportunities once he reads opponents' patterns.

His destruction of Superbon at ONE 170 this past January followed that exact blueprint—study the opening round, identify weaknesses, then unleash calculated violence that overwhelms defensive positioning.

Liu Mengyang represents a dangerous challenger riding momentum and carrying power that's stopped quality opposition. The Chinese striker's aggressive kickboxing style creates the kind of exchanges where the Thai megastar's counter-striking thrives.

Forward pressure meets precision counters, and the ONE featherweight Muay Thai world champion's track record suggests he'll capitalize first.

Tawanchai's 10-1 promotional record includes victories over the division's absolute elite. Along the way, he's also claimed six highlight-reel triumphs.

His finishing ability across Muay Thai and kickboxing rules proves the versatility few strikers possess. Whether four-ounce gloves or ten-ounce mitts, the PK Saenchai product finds ways to separate opponents from consciousness.
