Justin Bieber Delivers Impromptu A Cappella Performance While Visiting ‘Baby’ Bowling Alley: Watch

It’s been 15 years since “Baby” catapulted Justin Bieber to global pop superstardom, and he can still hit every note!

On Thursday (Dec. 11), the two-time Grammy winner took to his official Instagram page to share a video carousel of him revisiting the bowling alley from the 2010 music video, which has earned over 3.4 billion views on YouTube to date.

“Went to where I shot my music video for [‘Baby’],” he captioned the post, which featured two clips of him singing the chorus and second verse of his hit song a cappella. “This is what happened.”

In the dimly lit videos, Bieber hits a casual dance as he delivers crisp vocals and reminisces on the music video and song that changed his life. Seattle-based artist Oranj Goodman, Disney Channel alum Kyle Massey, SWAG collaborator Eddie Benjamin and rising R&B singer Gabriel Jacoby comprised the eclectic group that assisted Bieber with stomps, clamps, beatboxing, and varying attempts at harmonies. “How’s my beatboxing,” Jacoby, who was recently featured in Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Fresh Picks column, quipped in the comment section.

Bieber’s “Baby” clip arrives just over a month after he picked up four Grammy nominations for SWAG, his surprise seventh studio album, which reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200 in June and launched a Hot 100 top 10 hit in “Daisies” (No. 2). In addition to album of the year, the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums-topping set will compete for the best pop vocal album trophy. “Daisies” is nominated for best pop solo performance, while “Yukon” earned a nod for best R&B performance.

In his recent Billboard cover story, award-winning comedian Druski revealed how Bieber got him on three SWAG interludes. It all began with Bieber asking him, “Why wouldn’t you be my therapist?” Druski revealed. “I canceled the flight, got back in the Uber, and we drove to the studio. We stayed there the entire night and had a bunch of random conversations he recorded.”
