A major AEW name recently revealed that his neck was cut off. His update drew a response from Swerve Strickland.

That star is Chuck Taylor, regarded as an AEW original because he joined the promotion in 2019, when it was founded. Taylor is currently with the promotion in a coaching capacity and has not competed for them in an in-ring capacity since early 2024, thanks to a career-threatening injury he suffered in a Parking Lot Brawl against Trent Baretta that year. In a recent Instagram post, Taylor shared a carousel of images showing the 39-year-old in the hospital due to an injury that required surgery with an insertion in the neck area.

The post received reactions from many pro-wrestling stars, including his colleague Swerve Strickland, who joked that his neck now looked like a Pez dispenser.

Swerve Strickland puts MJF on notice following AEW Dynamite

This week on Dynamite, MJF made an enthralling return to the Jacksonville-based promotion, interrupting the AEW World Championship contract-signing segment between Samoa Joe, Swerve Strickland, and Hangman Page. Friedman, who had a World title shot contract he won at All In: Texas, chose to cash it in, making the match a 4-way slated for Worlds End 2025 next weekend.

Moreover, The Salt of the Earth, in typical fashion, berated his opponents in a scathing promo, taking major shots at Strickland and even bringing up his failed WWE stint. A few days later, a fan on X analyzed the promo and claimed that the Mogul was holding back on the mic despite MJF's shots. The fan then stated that the Realest star might go extra hard on Friedman at the pay-per-view because of this. Sweve, meanwhile, responded to the fan with a soon comment.

"Sooner than you think," he replied.

It will be interesting to see who will walk away with the AEW World Championship at Worlds End 2025.
