A man was taken into custody Sunday for allegedly walloping a straphanger at Penn Station who later died, sources said.
The alleged perp was grabbed 18 hours after he got into a heated argument with a 55-year-old man while standing on the downtown C/E subway platform at 34th St-Penn Station Saturday night, according to sources.

The scuffle began when the man bumped into the alleged perp on accident, which developed into a shouting match, sources said.
The alleged perp then punched the man in the face and fled, sources told The Post.
Cops found the passed out victim unconscious and unresponsive at the station just before 7 p.m., police said.
EMS rushed the man to Lenox Hill Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, according to authorities.
The 55-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the hospital following the incident. Marie Pohl for New York PostPolice said that the investigation was still ongoing and that there have been no arrests.”
