Andy Cohen Weighs in on 'Summer House' Stars Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke's Breakup
Kyle Cooke will always be a loverboy for Amanda Batula.
After the Summer House costars confirmed their breakup in a Jan. 19 social media post following four years of marriage, Kyle shared where he and Amanda currently stand.
"People will be surprised but happy to see that Amanda and I are in a good spot," the reality star told Adam Glyn in a Jan. 22 TikTok video. "Obviously, the internet's gonna do its thing, but we literally pushed send together when we posted that. I've been in talks with her the whole week."
"It's a lot to swallow when your entire relationship from the very, very beginning was on TV. We knew it wasn't gonna be easy," he continued. "There's still a lot of love. It's both the hard part, but also, it's making this easier for the both of us."
As for what his and Amanda's home life looks like?
"We separated. It started as living separately and people picked up on that," he explained. "It was the worst-kept secret, but we just weren't ready to talk about it."
Although the 43-year-old and his estranged wife decided to share the news on their own terms, they knew that the season 10 Summer House sneak peek highlighted fundamental problems in their relationship.
"It's a tough topic," he said. "We're gonna get asked a thousand questions about our relationship based on the trailer, so we decided to rip the band-aid off."
The aspiring DJ—who previously denied rumors that he and Amanda had been living separately—emphasized that they were still simply trying to navigate this difficult chapter.
"We were trying to figure out the best way to give our relationship another shot," he explained. "Ultimately, we decided we don't wanna give each other false hope. We don't wanna give our friends and family false hope. We don't wanna give fans false hope."

"There's no playbook," he continued. "We were very much on the same page, where we knew we needed to create some space. We knew things had been tough. People have seen it. This is not some big surprise."
Nonetheless, Kyle noted that he and Amanda, 34, are both committed to the Bravo series, especially as press for the upcoming season, which premieres Feb. 3, begins.
"I've done things, she's done things," he added. "But we've got each other's backs. We care about each other. We still love each other. So, in a world where it makes sense to both film Summer House again, we'd film Summer House."
