What happened in Stranger Things season 5 Volume 2?

Episodes 5, 6, and 7 held vital keys that unlocked the secrets behind the dark deeds happening in Hawkins. Equipped with new information, Eleven and her friends were ready for their final battle with Vecna by the end of Volume 2.
The new episodes firstly explored the fate of the twelve children who Vecna managed to capture by the end of Volume 1. Will's new powers gave the team a chance to get hold of the villain, but the consequences of the same led to more troubles than solutions. Max and Holly continued to attempt an escape from Camazotz, and the latest episodes showed them reaching closer to leaving Vecna's mind.
The characters in the Upside Down came across big revelations that made their theories around the Upside Down and Dr. Kay's experiments irrelevant. Discoveries further raised tensions for all the characters as it meant more difficulties were coming their way.
While the second volume ended with the entire party united once again, it also set the team's plan in motion to end Vecna's wrath. The final episode, 'Chapter Eight: The Rightside Up', will release on December 31, 2025, at 5 pm PT. Along with releasing on Netflix, it will also be released in select theaters across the US and Canada.
