New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs finds himself in a new controversy as he is facing a felony strangulation or suffocation charge, along with misdemeanor assault, according to a court report.
The Patriots star faces charges related to the alleged incident that occurred on December 2. While the charges against Diggs have grabbed the attention of the NFL world, the Patriots wide receiver has been sharing memes on his Instagram story.
In one the stories, Diggs shared a video about meaning of hispanic noises, meanwhile the subsequent story was about dating a "latina."

The details of Diggs' alleged incident have not been revealed yet as his attorney, Michael DiSteno, argued in court to have the incident report sealed.
The Patriots wide receiver has "categorically denied the allegations" per a statement by the franchise.
“The New England Patriots are aware of the accusations that have been made regarding Stefon Diggs,” the team said. “Stefon has informed the organization that he categorically denies the allegations. "We support Stefon. We will continue to gather information and will cooperate fully with the appropriate authorities and the NFL as necessary. According to reports, the Patriots WR had his motion hearing on Tuesday morning at Dedham (Mass.) District Court. He was initially set for a court arraignment on January 23, which has been reportedly pushed to a later date after a request by Diggs' attorney.
The former Houston Texans star is in the first year of his three-year, $69 million contract with the Patriots, which he signed in March. Diggs has caught 82 passes for 970 yards and four touchdowns this season.
