Steelers' new WR might have hinted at QB situation for 2026

1 hour ago 2

The Pittsburgh Steelers' quarterback situation for Mike McCarthy is a fascinating watch, and right now, we don't know who will be under center in 2026.

Will it be Aaron Rodgers again, at the ripe age of 42?

Or will it be the young Will Howard or the trusted backup Mason Rudolph? In truth, we have no idea, but new Pittsburgh receiver Michael Pittman Jr. might have just let it slip...maybe.

In speaking on what made him choose Pittsburgh, Pittman Jr. gave quite an answer.

"Whenever you have a chance to play with a Hall of Fame quarterback, you always take that," Pittman said via the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. "We also have two really good quarterbacks here in Mason (Rudolph) and Will (Howard), so whatever ends up turning out, I think we'll have a good plan offensively and we'll make the most of it."

Is Rodgers coming back?

If we are reading the tea leaves right, it appears that Pittman Jr. is excited about the potential of playing with Rodgers.

We know the four-time MVP winner hasn't decided on his future, but if he does return, Pittman Jr. will be over the moon.

With Howard and Rudolph also on the roster, if Rodgers retires, then it will make for interesting viewing as to who McCarthy chooses to go with in 2026.

There are plenty of options for the Steelers at quarterback, and right now, all options are still on the table.
