Stars Kept the Night Going at Giorgio Armani’s Academy Gala After-Party at Chateau Marmont

With its storied charm, intimate atmosphere, and softly lit interiors, any night at Chateau Marmont is guaranteed to be a memorable one. Add a guest list overflowing with Hollywood crème de la crème to the mix and that magic is amplified tenfold. That was certainly true on Saturday night, when top-of-the-call-sheet names descended on the historic hotel for Giorgio Armani’s second annual Academy Museum Gala after-party.

Right at the 10:30 p.m. kickoff, a flurry of camera flashes turned the sidewalk into a makeshift red carpet as paparazzi lined the street, eager to capture the industry’s brightest stars making their entrances. A$AP Rocky shared an elevator with a couple of apparent hotel guests, who looked understandably awestruck by their surprise run-in with the rapper. Comedian Jake Shane was also among the early birds, settling onto a couch covered in an array of velvet Giorgio Armani pillows near the entrance before linking up with Charlie Walker, an up-and-coming model and son of celebrity stylist Elizabeth Saltzman. 

Tracee Ellis Ross then rolled in, nearly impossible to miss in her tangerine-hued, fringe-and-bead-adorned number from Balenciaga’s spring 2027 runway. She soon traded her barely-there, transparent high heels for white glove-style ballet flats in a practical fashion move. Others, however, tried to fly under the radar. Case in point: pals Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire darted inside, heads down with their baseball caps pulled low. 

The after-party also doubled as a mini reunion for some. Shortly after arriving, Zoey Deutch caught the eye of Colman Domingo. “Zoey!” the actor exclaimed as he spotted her and pulled her close for a warm hug. Kate Hudson, who had swapped her earlier custom Armani Privé gown for a dramatic black feathered confection, soon joined the conversation.

In case anyone arrived famished, trays of Chateau Marmont’s signature bites began floating around the space—burgers, fries, tiny grilled cheese sandwiches, chicken nuggets, and pigs in a blanket included. Meanwhile, both bars—one near the entrance and the other tucked away outside—drew a steady crowd, with bartenders whipping up espresso martinis left and right to keep partygoers energized.

Amazon Prime’s newest faces—Sterling Point’s Ella Rubin and Belmont Cameli of Off Campus fame—caught up near the front bar, where the former was ordering a margarita. Nearby, Pitch Perfect co-stars Brittany Snow and Anna Kendrick, who set the internet abuzz posing on the red carpet together, strolled into the party side by side, both switching into leg-baring dresses.

Around 12:30 a.m., Charli XCX made her entrance in a teeny-tiny black minidress, fresh off her show at the Kia Forum earlier that evening. While the dance floor was relatively quiet at that hour, the party had reached a fever pitch outside, with familiar faces everywhere you turned. Kendall Jenner and Jacob Elordi continued their date night, mingling with fellow guests, including Timothée Chalamet, boyfriend of Jenner’s younger sister Kylie, who also attempted to go incognito in a baseball cap and baggy shorts. “Timoth-ayyyy,” Jenner could be heard playfully squealing at one point during their conversation. Jack McBrayer, best known for playing the perpetually cheerful Kenneth Parcell on 30 Rock, also stopped to introduce himself to Hollywood’s new It couple, seemingly giddy with excitement (how very Kenneth of him).

Though things began winding down around 1:45 a.m., plenty of guests stuck around until the very end. Connor Storrie was chatting it up near the outdoor bar, while Cameli linked up with co-star Stephen Kalyn. When the lights began flickering on, guests took the cue that the festivities had come to an end. Among the last ones standing? The Off Campus duo, Emma Watson, Hunter Schafer, Chase Infiniti, and Tyriq Withers, who all scurried off together to continue the already-memorable night elsewhere.
