Stan Van Gundy has perfect McDonald's line on Amazon Prime broadcast of Pistons-Knicks

Stan Van Gundy knows how to get a laugh during an NBA broadcast.

These days, Van Gundy is a color commentator for Amazon Prime Video, working alongside play-by-play man Ian Eagle. On Friday night, they had the broadcast of the Detroit Pistons and New York Knicks clash.

Van Gundy used McDonald's to pull off quite the one-liner.

For the Pistons, Ron Holland was at the foul line, and Eagle was sharing a bit about Holland to the national audience.

"McDonald's All-American in 2023 and won two state titles in high school," Eagle said.

Van Gundy jumped in.

"Well, I went to McDonald's yesterday," Van Gundy said, drawing an "oh!" from Eagle. "Ron and I, he's a McDonald's All-American, I ate there in the Orlando airport yesterday."

Eagle suggested, "Maybe talk to him after the game, let him know your order."

Van Gundy concluded, "That's about as close as I get to Ron's athleticism, I'll tell you that."

Perfect. No notes.

Van Gundy is the only one of his brotherly duo currently broadcasting. His bro Jeff is an assistant coach for the Los Angeles Clippers.

That means it's Stan job to get the laughs on national TV.

With this sequence, he did a great job of that.
