									Victor Wembanyama has officially arrived.
The Spurs’ superstar has crashed the top of the NBA MVP race barely a week into the season after a sensational start.
Heading into Thursday’s play, Wembanyama was the co-favorite with reigning league MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to win the award (+275) at Caesars Sportsbook.
The surge comes after a historic start for Wembanyama that has NBA fans fantasizing about the French star’s future.
Through four games, Wembanyama is averaging 31 points with 13.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists.
His defense has been ridiculous, averaging 1.5 steals and a league-leading 4.8 blocks while anchoring a San Antonio defense that has been among the best in the NBA.
Wembanyama’s shooting has improved as well, averaging a career-best 60.3 percent from the field and 36.4 percent from deep.
Perhaps most impressive of all, the Spurs are a perfect 4-0 with the best Net Rating (+15.6) in the league.
