WWE taped the December 26, 2025, episode of SmackDown, which saw a reigning double champion get pinned at the show. Please be warned that this article contains spoilers, so reader discretion is advised.

Giulia and Kiana James teamed up to face Chelsea Green and Alba Fyre in a tag team match at the December 26 taping. The match saw The Beautiful Madness pick up the win by pinning the WWE Women’s United States Champion and the AAA Mixed Tag Team Champion.

Notably, Chelsea Green had won the Women’s US Championship by defeating Giulia on the November 7, 2025, episode of SmackDown. The former NXT Women’s Champion had also defeated Alba Fyre on this week’s episode of the Friday Night Show. Now that the Japanese wrestler has pinned Green, she could likely earn a title shot for the belt soon.

Chelsea Green to put the WWE Women’s United States Championship on the line

While Giulia has yet to get an official title shot following her victory, next week’s episode of NXT will see Sol Ruca getting a shot at the Women’s United States Championship. Notably, Chelsea Green barged into the office of NXT General Manager Ava with a long list of complaints.

At the time, Ethan Page, Sol Ruca, and Zaria were also in the room. The Hot Mess said Ava was just as bad as Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce. In response, the GM declared that Green will defend her Women’s US Championship against Ruca next week on WWE NXT.

Although the Canadian wrestler was scared when the match was declared, given that she showed up with both her belts for next week’s SmackDown taping, Ruca won’t get to dethrone Chelsea Green next week. It will be interesting to see how long The Hot Mess remains a double champion.
